Who runs the Fiordland Community Events Centre?
The Centre is managed by a volunteer Trust as a not-for-profit community facility. All income goes back into maintaining and improving the venue for our community.

We’re proudly supported by RealNZ, our major sponsor through to 2029. Their support helps us keep the Centre accessible and thriving
What spaces can I hire?
We offer a range of flexible spaces to suit any event:
The Stadium – full-size courts ideal for sports, expos, or large community events.
The Town Hall & Stage – perfect for weddings, dinners, performances, or formal functions.
The Supper Room & Kitchen – a cosy lounge-style space with catering facilities for smaller gatherings.
The Meeting Room – great for workshops, training sessions, or small group meetings.
The Climbing Wall – available for recreation, team-building, or club activities.
What are the staff hours?
Our staff are generally on site Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
If you’re a regular user with key code access, you can enter the facility outside these hours.
What Kind of Bookings Do You Accept?
The Fiordland Community Events Centre is a community-focused venue.

Is WiFi available?
Yes, guest WiFi is available for Centre users.
What can I use the WiFi for?
WiFi is for lawful, appropriate use only. Streaming, illegal downloads, or misuse is not permitted.
Can I bring animals into the Centre?
Only registered service animals are allowed inside the building unless special permission is given.
Can I use the Centre after hours?
Yes. Approved users with key code access can enter the Centre outside normal staff hours. Please be mindful of neighbours if you’re hosting an evening event, and make sure the venue is secure before leaving.
When closing up, ensure all lights are turned off, doors are locked, and the space is tidy for the next booking. If you notice any issues or something doesn’t seem right, please let us know as soon as possible
Can I serve alcohol at my event?
Yes, but you must:
Have the correct licence
Meet all legal requirements
Get Centre approval
Who is responsible for alcohol compliance?
The event organiser is fully responsible for licensing, host responsibility, and legal compliance.
What do I need to do when locking up?
If you’re the last to leave, please make sure all lights are turned off, doors are locked, and the space is left tidy for the next user.

How do I make a booking?
All bookings must be made through the Centre’s booking system or by contacting our team directly. Bookings are subject to availability and approval.
