The *Calendar Girls* show written by Tim Firth, was inspired by true events, a group of Women’s Institute friends from Yorkshire decide to trade their usual calendar imagery for something far more daring—an “alternative” charity calendar featuring themselves!
Posing nude with strategically placed cakes, flowers and knitting, the calendar gains the attention of the national and global press. But as fame builds, the Calendar Girls discover the true cost—and reward—of stepping out of their comfort zone.
